The International Seafarers' Center offers other forms of assistance to mariners and the port community. Please note the following:

- SC maintains several vans to transport mariners to medical, shopping, recreational, and other sites. Driven by volunteers, vans are available during normal operating hours. If needed at other times, call ISC and every effort will be made to provide a van and driver. Except for special circumstances, vans should only be used for groups of four to fifteen crew members. Due to rising fuel costs, a nominal fee is charged.
- ISC will ship packages employing the least-cost shipping service. Mariners may leave wrapped and addressed packages with ISC staff along with money to cover shipping costs. Secure money transfers can be made using local banking resources.
- Both Seafarers' facilities keep large supplies of good, clean used clothing donated by local residents. Any seafarer is welcome to look through the "clothing locker" and to take what is needed but not more than needed for self or family.
- At each seafarers' facility, mariners will find recreational opportunities, a store, a library, and other forms of relaxation as well as welcoming volunteers to assist them. Time permitting, trips to local places of interest can be arranged. ISC staff and volunteers cordially welcome you to the Brunswick community and bid you "Godspeed" until you return.
