Ways to Give

ISC Pie Chart of Spending

The International Seafarers' Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that has been serving the Port of Brunswick for nearly 30 years. We are responsible and proud stewards of the gifts that support our visiting seafarers. Looking at the "Pie-Chart," you'll notice that 80 cents out of every dollar donated goes to programs that benefit the seafarers. We operate with only four staff, two of which are part time. We rely heavily on our dedicated volunteers to keep our two hospitality centers operating seven days a week. Our 90+ volunteers donated 12,460 service hours in 2010.

The Port of Brunswick grew by 35% in shipping traffic since 2009, and we now serve over 12,000 seafarers annually. This increase in services to seafarers also means an increase in our program expenses, and we need your help!

How can you help? Become a donor today! The International Seafarers' Center relies on the financial support of our generous donors. Can you help our merchant mariners? Your gift will ensure the continuation of our ministry to the seafarers.

This year, we will have 5 levels of annual sponsorship pledges, ranging from $360 to $5,000. Each annual pledge can be fulfilled monthly, quarterly, or with a one time gift. Sponsors will receive tickets to the International Night Out event, as well as recognition in the Seafarers' Log newsletter, an automobile decal recognizing your support, and a certificate of appreciation.

The following ISC Sponsorship levels will receive tickets to the International Night Out gala:

  • Admiral
  • $5,00010INO tickets
  • Commodore
  • $3,0008INO tickets
  • Captain
  • $1,5006INO tickets
  • Skipper
  • $7204INO tickets
  • Chief Mate
  • $3602INO tickets

The greatest benefit of becoming a donor, however, is knowing that you are making a difference in the lives of seafarers.

Your generous donations make all of these things possible:

  • seafarers have a "home away from home."
  • detained crew have access to cell phones to call home.
  • a seafarer can receive a Bible in 54 languages.
  • our 3 vans stay running to transport seafarers to doctors, dentists & stores.
  • over 1,200 Christmas gifts are given to seafarers during the holidays.

Please prayerfully consider this printable donation form.
